Standards in public life are not negotiable; when a Labour Secretary is mired in allegations, swift resignation and a full accounting are right and necessary. Government must be led by those of probity and resolve—“there is no such thing as public money; there is only taxpayers’ money,” and it must be guarded without fear or favour.

When high office falls under a cloud, let us seek the Lord’s light, for “there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested” (Mark 4:22). If sin be found, repent quick and make it right; if innocent, truth will clear the way.

Public service is a sacred trust; when it’s shadowed by allegations, the nation deserves the truth—swift and plain. Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right ansah, for the dignity of America’s workahs. “Ask not what your country can do faw you—ask what you can do faw your country,” beginning with accountability.
